    Dear Heru,

I think your photography is beautiful. You are hardly an “amateur” as you call yourself. Your work is highly professional.

I have been shooting Canon manual cameras for many years with 2 FTB’s and a F1 (new version), and a wide variety of manual lenses, prime and zoom. The FTB’s are over 30 years old and the F1 about 20 years old. They are wonderful cameras and still perform like new. I have never published any of my work as it has been solely for personal satisfaction and exhibition in our home. I am thinking of putting up a website though.

Your website caught my eye because you shoot with a D200. I recently switched to digital (but still use film) and bought a D200 myself. Also have ED lenses 80-200/f2.8 (not the VR), 18-70/f3.5-4.5, 105/2.8 macro, and a Tokina 12-24/f4. I am now planning to purchase the ED 28-70/f2.8 because of the outstanding reputation of that lens. Have you been happy with it? You shoot with some of the same lenses I have which I also found interesting.

I stuggled with switching from Canon to Nikon but after about 6 months of researching the Canon 30D versus the D200, decided to make the change. I am happy with my choice.

Beautiful work again, Heru. I look forward to looking through your website (which is also beautiful) in greater detail and also hearing from you.

    Best regards,
